Stress Knowledge Map (SKM) is developed and operated by the National Institute of Biology (NIB), Večna pot 111, 1000 Ljubljana, Tel: +386 (0)59 232 701.

This privacy policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use SKM (through the website skm.nib.si or via e-mail). By accessing or using SKM, you agree to the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this privacy policy.

Usage Data is collected automatically when using SKM. Usage data is only retained when a website issue has occurred.

Usage Data may include information such as your device's IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and other diagnostic data.

Purposes of personal data collection

SKM uses your personal data for a limited number of purposes. These are:

  • Registration of users
  • Announcements
  • Scientific collaborations
  • Contacting you about a data submission you have made, including any content you provide
  • Dealing with feedback and inquiries

SKM will hold your personal data on our systems for as long as is considered necessary for the relevant purpose(s) you provided us your details.

If you cancel your user account we will ensure that your personal information is deleted, however if you have made a contribution to SKM, we are likely to store the contribution permanently.

Usage data is only retained for diagnostic purposes, and deleted once the issue has been resolved.

Security of your data

SKM has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security which we deem appropriate, taking into account the categories of data we collect and the way we process it.

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your device browser from a website and is stored on your device's hard drive.

SKM makes use of cookies for the purpose of website functionality, including:

SKM does not make use of third party cookies.
